The Dualist is the undergraduate organization for students interested in philosophy. It is the Department of Philosophy’s undergraduate philosophy association. It meets regularly as a 1-unit class: PHIL 198. It brings together students who are passionate about exploring deep philosophical and life questions. It focuses on building a philosophical community through book-club style conversations, visiting speakers, social gatherings, trips and retreats, and various other events. The undergraduate leaders of the Dualist are also a primary source for peer advice on philosophy classes at Stanford and the Philosophy department's undergraduate degree program.
