Epistêmê and Doxa, Knowledge and Belief, in the Phaedo
Lately, some commentators have argued that, as Plato understands epistêmê it isn’t knowledge and that, as he understands doxa, it isn’t belief. I ask about this by focusing on the epistemology of the Phaedo.
