Timothy Garton Ash, Professor of European Studies at the University of Oxford, Isaiah Berlin Professorial Fellow at St. Antony’s College, Oxford, and a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University will deliver a 2016-17 Wesson Lecture in Problems of Democracy. His lecture will be on his most recent book Free Speech: Ten Principles for a Connected World (Yale University Press, 2016).
There will be a discussion seminar on Thursday, October 6 with Timothy Garton Ash in conversation with Joshua Cohen, Faculty, Apple University & Jennifer Granick, Director of Civil Liberties, The Center for Internet and Society at Stanford Law School.
The Wesson Lecture and Discussion Seminar are co-sponsored with the Hoover Institution,the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies, and the Digital Civil Society Lab at Stanford PACS.
