The discussion session will feature Timothy Garton Ash (Professor of European Studies at the University of Oxford, Isaiah Berlin Professorial Fellow at St. Antony’s College, Oxford, and a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution) in conversation with Joshua Cohen, Faculty, Apple Univeristy & Jennifer Granick, Director of Civil Liberties, The Center for Internet and Society at Stanford Law School. The discussion will revolve around Garton Ash's most recent book Free Speech: Ten Principles for a Connected World (Yale University Press, 2016).
Timothy Garton Ash will also deliver a 2016-17 Wesson Lecture in Problems of Democracy on Wednesday, October 5 from 7-8:30 in Cubberley Auditorium.
