Michael Friedman awarded honorary doctorate

Michael Friedman was awarded the title of doctor honoris causa by unanimous vote of the Senate of the University of Athens, Greece on November 5th 2009.

The official letter by the Rector of the University writes: "The University of Athens, by conferring this title, which is the highest honorary title awarded by our Institution, wishes to honour you, a distinguished scientist in your field who through outstanding work has bestowed praise and credit on Philosophy." The honorary doctorate will be personally bestowed at an awarding ceremony in Athens on December 16th, 2009.
