My main interests are in philosophy of psychology, psychiatry, and cognitive science, especially debates concerning the mechanisms underlying psychological phenomena, their functions, and their possible evolutionary origins. I also have a long-standing interest in altered states of consciousness. Before coming to Stanford, I completed a BA in Psychology at McGill University, an MA in Cognitive Studies at the University of Sheffield, and an MSc in Philosophy at the University of Glasgow. Outside of philosophy, I like to spend my time trying out new things and taking classes on subjects I know nothing about.
