BA: Philosophy, University of Padua

MSc: Logic, University of Amsterdam

I am primarily interested in the philosophy of mathematics, philosophy of mind, and Immanuel Kant. I tend to get particularly excited where these topics intersect. Kant’s conception of self-knowledge and his theory of arithmetic are currently on the top of the pile. I also have broad interests in the philosophy of logic and pre-Kantian thought, including Emilie du Châtelet, Christian Wolff, and the history of early modern mathematics.

In my free time, I enjoy drinking good coffee, reflecting about what is wrong with the world, and escaping in the world of fiction. My challenge for the Covid-19 era is to try to finish Proust’s In Search of Lost Time.

Research Interests: Kant, Philosophy of Mathematics, Philosophy of Mind
